When it arrives at Verizon, it will be called the Samsung Fascinate, making this now the fourth variant (Sprit Epic 4G, AT&T Captivate, T-Mobile Vibrant) of this Samsung phone. The Fascinate will have a 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display with a 1GHZ Hummingbird CPU and 512MB RAM. Powered by Google Android 2.1, the handset supports 720p HD video recording and 5MP still pictures. The user interface will include a virtual onscreen QWERTY keyboard which can be used to access the suite of Google products including the Android market, YouTube, Gmail and Google Talk. Pre-installed on the Samsung phone will also be Bing Maps and Search.
Lastly, the Fascinate supports WiFi b/g/n network connections, Bluetooth technology, 3G and also offers mobile users the ability to share a 3G mobile broadband connection by way of its 3G Mobile Hotspot feature. Verizon Wireless has not listed any prices for its new handset but if the launch of the Samsung phone on the other networks is any indication, we should see it priced around $200.
