Lenovo  introduced new folding mobile phone model  P90W . The main feature of this device is an unusual design that allow it flip on both vertically and horizontally. Lenovo P90W equipped with a 3-inch display with a resolution of 240 × 400 pixels (WQVGA), camera with 3.2 Megapixels, a slot for microSD memory card module and Bluetooth. It is stressed that the novelty has two clota for SIM cards and can work in networks of two mobile operators simultaneously. Supports GSM and UMTS. No information about the cost of Lenovo P90W yet. Most likely, the device will be available only in China.

Sony announced a compact camera Cybershot DSC-T99 equipped with 14.1 megapixel camera, Super HAD CCD, Carl Zeiss lens with 4 x optical zoom and high-performance image processor BIONZ. Supports HD-video recording in 720p with a resolution of 1280 × 720 pixels at 30 frames per second. The camera is equipped with a touch screen with a diagonal of 3 inches, 32 MB of integrated memory, slots for  flash cards Memory  Stick PRO Duo and SD / SDHC, as well as optical image stabilization SteadyShot. The value of light sensitivity up to ISO 3200 values. The camera has a function of panoramic photography Sweep Panorama, which can be used under water. The first smartphone from C-series by Nokia went on sale in the Indian market, the model called Nokia C5 Smartphone. Gateway introduced the new netbook Gateway LT32, based on the AMD Nile platform and running the  Windows 7 Home Premium  operating system. The netbook is equipped with 11.6-inch display with 1366 x 768 pixels (16:9) and LED-backlit, providing play HD-video. It is also reported on the connector HDMI, through which you can transfer video Full HD 1080p on external sources (monitor, TV). Features include LT32 AMD Athlon II Neo K125 processor with a frequency of 1.7 GHz, the integrated graphics adapter ATI Radeon HD 4225, 2 GB of RAM and hard drive capacity of 250 GB. On board there are also adapter wireless Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, HD built-in webcam, NIC Gigabit Ethernet, modem, 3G, card reader, three USB 2.0 ports and a VGA-connector. Battery provides up to 5.5 hours of continuous operation without recharging. It is expected that netbook Gateway LT32 will soon go on sale at a price of $ 450.

Fujitsu has launched its new P3110 laptop with a variety of vivid color options. It is a 11.6 inch notebook that comes with ultra-low-voltage processor, high-resolution LED screen and Energy Star 5.0 rating. It weighs just about 1.6 kg and has an extended battery life of six and half hours. The P3110 is powered by Intel Core2 Duo Processor Ultra Low Voltage (ULV). Integrated 1.3 megapixels webcam and built-in digital microphone are perfect for video conferencing and Internet telephony (VoIP). It is competitively priced at Rs. 63,500 with a three year onsite warranty and is available in Cherry Red, Shiny White and Glossy black colours.

Those that have an iPhone 4 and are comfortable with tinkering with their Apple device will be pleased to hear that a hacker who goes by the name of Geohot has confirmed that he has managed to jailbreak the latest Apple iPhone. That’s the good news. The bad news, Geohot has not confirmed if and when he will make this code publicly available. Until this is released, it’s worth keeping your eye on other developments such as the Comex Sprint jailbreak tool which will be available once firmware iOS 4.0.1/4.11 comes to the iPhone 4, 3GS and 3G.

In the fight against crime, law enforcement officials have used technology as a means of getting a one up on criminals. Police have relied on phone records as a means of tracking activity as they recreate the events leading up to a crime and with smartphones, police have even more digital data including email messages and text messages that can be used to solve crimes. There is now an area of forensic study that focuses just on the Apple iPhone and using its data ( GPS information , GEO tagged pictures, browser history, screenshots of opened maps) in solving crimes. The Samsung Captivate, a variant of the Samsung Galaxy S smartphone will be available through AT&T on July 18th. The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 is the card makers latest edition to the Fermi class of GPUs that will provide a DX11 video game experience. The graphics card will be released as two separate models that will vary in their memory interface, onboard memory and price. The cheaper of the two models is priced at $199 and will come with 768MB and a 192-bit memory interface. For an extra $30, you can pick up the higher end model which will have 1GB of memory and a 256-bit memory interface. The 768MB version of the card is available now through a number of Nvidia partners including ASL, Asus, Colorful and EVGA. If you’re more interested in the one with a little more memory, it won’t be available until July 26, 2010, some two weeks from today. The 460 cards have been optimized for DirectX11 tessellation and benchmarks provided by the company shows a performance that is quadruple that of their closest competitors.

So there was this leak on a Taiwanese Apple site that looked very much like a 3cm x 3cm touchscreen for some sort of Mac. What exactly will the part be for? No one can agree on the final product but here are a couple of mockups some artistic fans cooked up. The one on the left is an iWatch. It definitely goes against the Apple’s artistic sensibilities though to make a gaudy and bulky watch with a touchscreen. The more likely candidate is the one at the right, a  small MP3 player  like the iPod Shuffle that has a touchscreen interface. Another speculation is that it will be for the upcoming MacBook Pro. A touchscreen pad for mouse control would be great but is it really necessary? Let’s just sit tight and wait for Apple’s true motives behind this mini touchscreen, shall we?

Mamiya have just announced the launch of their new 33 Megapixel camera the Mamiya RZ33 a large sensor digital camera targeted at the professional photographer, Its equipped with a dedicated digital camera body and a 48 x 36mm 33-mega pixel CCD sensor, ISO 50-800 sensitivity range, 1.1 frames-per-second burst rate, 16-bit RAW files and a touchscreen digital control interface.

Google has scrapped plans for a Google Voice  Voice Over IP  (VoIP) desktop client, much to the disappointment of many users. This announcement has also resulted in one user starting an online petition to see if Google will reconsider their decision to release a VoIP client. Google has elected against releasing a thick client because plans are underway to have a browser based client available. So far, the website giveusgvdesktop.com has collected 1,663 virtual signatures. The site still has a long ways to go to reach its stated goal of 500,000 signatures which it hopes will be sufficient to show the popularity of a desktop client. The Google Voice VoIP application offers an alternative to another popular VoIP service, Skype, which boasts a user base of 500 million.

If you’ve had your eye on a compact clamshell MID and had some interest in the Viliv N5, then your wait is over as it is now available through the online  shopping site  Dynamism. Pre-orders for the N5 MID have begun with the price set at $649. On last check, the item was not seen on either the New Egg or Amazon website, but it will most likely appear on these sites shortly. The Dynamism $649 price will get you an N5 that will have a 4.8-inch touchscreen display, Intel Atom Z520 1.3GHz CPU, 1GB RAM, a 32GB solid state drive (SSD), WiFi b/g, Bluetooth 2.0, GPS. It is also Flash ready and supports 720p HD video playback. There is also another model that comes with an HSPA modem, but this one will cost an extra $100.

Sometimes it can be a big challenge to decide which way to go, laptop or desktop? Both have their advantages. Desktops with the extra ports for connectivity and the generally larger screen display or a laptop that offers a good portable solution but with fewer ports. If you do go the portable route, you can always consider the Zemno Desktop Pro notebook dock that supports both PC and a 15-inch MacBook. Lenovo has unveiled their latest AIO (all in one)  computer  this morning in Japan. The IdeaCentre A310 includes a good sized display at 21.5-inches and features an aspect ratio of 16:9. With its slim design (18.5mm thin), the machine uses a wireless Bluetooth mouse and keyboard to maintain the clean image personified by this AIO. The A310 comes preconfigured with an Intel Core i3-350M processor, 3GB RAM (maximum supported 8GB), a 500GB hard disk drive and an optical drive. The A310 will come with Windows 7 Home Premium as the operating system of choice. Pricing and release date are still to be determined.

The Art Lebedev studio launched an innovative keyboard, the Optimus Popularis. In addition to having the classics LED buttons, which change by pressing the special FN, now there is a screen with widgets to view the forecast, shares of stock, Gmail notifications, and more. Oregon Scientific Company prepares to release a video camera called ATC9K HD Action Camera, designed for underwater photography. New products that can operate at depths up to 20 meters, is able to record video with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels (Full HD) and make 5-megapixel photos. This gadget is endowed with a GPS-receiver and an accelerometer that allows the camera to record because of strikes on various underwater objects. It is also noted that ATC9K HD Action Camera supports management with the remote control. Sales of new items will begin very soon, but its value is not specified.

The new device is the brainchild of the sportswear company Puma and collaboration with the French manufacturer Sagem. Puma Phone is already available in some European countries and will be available in other markets in the near future. This phone packs a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen, GPS and compass, HSPA connectivity, 3.2-megapixel camera with a front-facing VGA camera (for video calls), microSD memory card slot, and a solar panel on the back of the device that’s used for battery charging. More importantly, there are quite a few apps pre-installed for media playback, web browsing, email and IM, and for keeping up with your workouts. The Puma Phone is priced at 399 EUR.

Acer Aspire One D255 is the latest netbook with a 10.1-inch display. The netbook uses dual-core processor Atom N550, which Intel plans to release in the current quarter. Clock chip – 1.5 GHz technology supports Hyper-Threading, which is due to concurrent processing of up to four streams of instructions. The Aspire One D255 has the hard drive capacity up to 250 GB, 1 GB RAM, adapters, wireless Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, a webcam and 6-cell battery. LED-backlit display has a native resolution of 1024 × 600 pixels, is responsible for processing graphics integrated video core Intel GMA 3150. It’s weigh no more than 1,25 kg; shell thickness is 24 mm. The claimed battery life – up to 8 hours. No information on price and availability.

Neofonie WeTab Delayed Till September The Neofonie WeTab tablet computer that was expected to ship to German customers has been delayed. The online retail giant Amazon has been advising their user base that the WeTab will not be available for a few months and are targeting September 19th as the most likely date. The Neofonie tablet was originally called the WePad prior to its name change and many insiders believe the name change may have been a way to avoid a possible confrontation with Apple and their iPad. The tablet that comes with an Intel Atom processor, an 11.6-inch touchscreen display,  SD card reader , 1.3MP camera and a six hour battery will be available in two variants. The 16GB tablet will sell for $610 and a 32GB tablet that also comes with 3G access will sell for $770.  

Verizon Wireless has confirmed that they will soon be adding the Pantech Jest mobile phone to their lineup. The handset which includes a slide out QWERTY keyboard has been designed with an emphasis on video, photography and voice messaging. Like many phones before it, it will also include support for the common social networking sites such as Facebook, MySpace and the micro-blogging site Twitter. The Pantech Jest comes with a 2.6-inch TFT display that is fully customizable based upon user preference using a variety of different icons. The handset which includes a 2 megapixel camera that can capture still images also has a video recording mode. The Pantech Jest will be available free online with certain terms and conditions. The instore price will be $120 but it will come with a $50 mail-in rebate.  Effective  date is July 5.

HTC EVO 4G gets Wireless N he HTC EVO 4G has a wireless chip inside capable of 802.11n. However, for some reason a software change limits it to slower wireless speeds. The guys at XDA developers have again been busy and managed to create an update that re-enables 802.11n on the HTC EVO. To run the code change you need to download a HEX editor and make changes to a certain file. When editing the file, all it takes is a few character changes and a save and re-upload to the phone. Before you make any changes to a smartphone you need take a read over the instructions and make sure you have anything in order. HTC Wildfire Available in the UK on Vodafone The HTC Wildfire is now available in the UK on the Vodafone network. Vodafone is the first network to offer the phone which is ready for ordering today. Price wise you can pick one up for free on just a £20/month contract. This is a 24 month contract and you do get a decent amount of minutes, text and data as well. With this particular plan you get 300 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of data. The £25 and £30/month contracts also of course have the phone for free, but the more you pay for the plan, the more free minutes you get. Data however, stays restricted to 500MB. The 18 month contracts are practically the same as the 24 month plans with the HTC Wildfire being free on the cheapest plan although the cheapest plan is £25/month rather than £20/month. Basically you add an extra £5/month to drop to an 18 month tariff. As for PAYG plans, currently there are none for the HTC Wildfire on the Vodafone network. Overall, some pretty good prices
