NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 Video Card
The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 is the card makers latest edition to the Fermi class of GPUs that will provide a DX11 video game experience. The graphics card will be released as two separate models that will vary in their memory interface, onboard memory and price.
The cheaper of the two models is priced at $199 and will come with 768MB and a 192-bit memory interface. For an extra $30, you can pick up the higher end model which will have 1GB of memory and a 256-bit memory interface. The 768MB version of the card is available now through a number of Nvidia partners including ASL, Asus, Colorful and EVGA. If you’re more interested in the one with a little more memory, it won’t be available until July 26, 2010, some two weeks from today. The 460 cards have been optimized for DirectX11 tessellation and benchmarks provided by the company shows a performance that is quadruple that of their closest competitors.
